Having served two 200-year-old churches and two church plants in Charlotte, N.C., Wes brings a unique ability to balance innovation with tradition as the founding pastor of Waypoint Community Church, a church plant of the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians (E.C.O.). Introduced to faith through one of his high school coaches while playing collegiate football, Wes deeply values the vital role coaches play in equipping pastors for the adventure of church planting.

From organizing a new church within a new denomination and running ultra-marathons with F3 (Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith) to changing 33 diapers in a single day for his triplet boys, Wes embraces intentional challenges as opportunities for personal, relational, spiritual, and leadership growth.

As a certified Coach, Wes employs a method to facilitate intentional, Gospel-centered conversations, focusing on the pastor’s relational, physical, emotional, missional, and spiritual life.
