Equipping Men

Men are told to “man up” or “take it like a man,” however manhood has not been effectively defined in our culture. When faced with a challenge, most men respond either through aggression or passivity. We either disengage from the people around us and the responsibilities God has called us to, or we attempt to dominate the situation through control and power.

In the opening story of Scripture, we see that the first two men—Adam and Cain—embody these tendencies. God, however, designed men to have a richer, more purposeful manhood.

By exploring the opening pages of God’s great story to see how God intended men to live, how we have made a mess of our lives, and how the Gospel alone can answer the burning question deep in every man’s heart: “Am I good enough?”
