Wes Barry

equipping leaders to share their faith in their places of influence

Author: Wes Barry (aka Agony)

Having served two 200-year-old churches and two church plants in Charlotte, N.C., Wes strives to incorporate and balance both innovation and tradition in his role as founding pastor of Waypoint Community Church, a church plant of the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians (E.C.O.). Having played collegiate football and being introduced to faith through one of his high school coaches, Wes appreciates the important role coaches play in equipping pastors for the adventure of Church Planting. Whether it’s organizing a new church within a new denomination, running an ultra-marathon with F3 (Fitness, Fellowship and Faith) or changing 33 diapers in one day when his triplet boys were first born, Wes embraces intentional challenges as catalysts for personal, relational, spiritual and leadership development. He uses the C.R.O.S.S. Coaching method to create intentional Gospel-centered conversations with focused discussions about the pastor’s Relational, Personal, Missional and Spiritual life. He is married to Lindsay and also has a daughter to help calm the chaos of his triplet boys.
